Faisan AT
News
As of September 25, 2010, Faisan has been approved as a stallion by the LG ANCCE in Spain. He is therefore listed in their studbook. All offspring by P.R.E. mares may be inscribed P.R.E.. Offspring by Andalusian/PRE mares or other breeds can now be registered pure or half bred Andalusian with the International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association. (IAHLA Registration #14014S) . At the time of revision he had only just turned 3 years and consequently all of his ANCCE studbook measurements are significantly smaller than his current size

Faisan went to his first show Sunday April 3rd 2011 at the RCRA. I am pleased to say that although he was very excited, he was polite to other horses in the warm up ring and obedient under saddle (no spooking). He was too tense to really show off his stuff, but he did earn a 7.5 on both his canter and his working trot. Comments from the judges include “a wonderfully enthusiastic horse” and “....this expressive beauty”.

Faisan continued to attend various schooling shows over the summer.

After a 4 month break from showing, on January 22 2012, Faisan competed at his first Jumper show at Iron Horse Equestrian Complex. Wow, what an improvement. He is growing up and behaved admirably in the crowded warm up ring. Once in the arena he was a little worried at first and had a couple of refusals but soon settled in and showed a real aptitiude and enthusiasm for the sport.

January 29th 2012, Faisan showed at the RCRA in the training level division. He showed a distinct improvement from his last dressage show and was really able to relax and work a little more with each test which was good enough for a first, second and third place finish.
